Name a Cassini Mission

Are you clever?  Do you appreciate space missions?  Are you good with names?  If you said yes to all three questions, then you, my friend, should head over to the Cassini Solstice Mission page.  Put your talents to work, and select, or submit, a name for the final phase of the Cassini Solstice mission.  For those interested in understanding what the mission’s final phase is, please go to the “Final Phase” portion of their website.  If you’re planning to participate, you should also go to that description.  NASA wants the name to somehow be related to the mission.

The good news for those interested?  It’s open to EVERYONE.  There are no boundaries, geographical, gender, or age-wise.  The caveat is you must submit the name in English (no, that doesn’t mean it’s an English name–just that the correspondence sent to NASA must be in English).  It also must be received by NASA on this form, by April 25, 2014.

For those interested in reading the rest of the rules, you can go here.  If you do submit and win, please drop a line and let me know.  The name selection is to be announced in May 2014.
