Just a fun XKCD.com link for you. The artist posted this strip on Monday. The cartoon is about the International Sun/Earth Explorer (ISEE) -3 satellite, which is real, and in a heliocentric orbit. I was only eight years old when it was launched in 1978.
Some of the story is true, while the actual hacking, so far as I know, isn’t. But why not allow the public to gain access to the telemetry? It’s not worth anything to either NASA or the ESA anyway. Interesting, fun idea, at any rate…
